This fleet of meticulously maintained and rare classic fiberglass runabout boats from the jet-age era (1958-1963) is available for everyone to enjoy and take out on the beautiful waterways of downtown Tampa. With fanciful fins and headlights, retro cool colors, and chrome details, these retro boat rental have kept their vintage style but have been retrofitted with electric motors. They’re quiet and environmentally friendly, allowing for conversation and enjoyment of the fresh air and beauty along Tampa’s waterways.
Imagine cruising the river in one of several vintage fiberglass boats that have been restored to their original jet-age beauty (1958-1964), with mid-century retro cool colors, fins, and chrome details. Retro also means the old motors have been retrofitted with the latest in eco-friendly technology. The zero-emissions electric motors create an environmentally clean, quiet experience for even the novice boater.
- Price is per boat, not per person. Each boat holds up to four people total.
- Drivers MUST be at least 18 years old and bring with them a valid government issued ID. Upon arrival, renters must present valid credit card at check-in for a $250 pre-authorization hold in case of damages. (Credit card can’t say debit on it) Once your rental is complete, you may pay with cash, debit, or the pre-authorized credit card.
- Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your rental time due to paperwork and orientation. If you do not arrive 15 minutes before your rental time, we can not guarantee you will be able to use your full allotted time.
- We do not have dedicated parking at the docks, so please plan on arriving early to find parking. There are some metered spots at The Sail Bar, right where we are located but not guaranteed. Another option is the South Regional/Pam Iorio Parking Garage.
